Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — A comprehensive inspection of all gas stations in Ferghana region will be conducted to ensure compliance with current regulations and standards. The relevant decree was signed by the khokim (governor) of the region.
The initiative aims to prevent emergency situations, ensure safety standards are followed, and address any identified deficiencies. A working group has been established, consisting of employees from the relevant organizations.
Additionally, training will be organized for staff at gas stations, including those operating liquefied and compressed gas stations, regardless of their organizational and legal form. The training program has been developed by the training center under the regional Emergency Situations Department.
It is worth noting that on 17 December at 13:43, an explosion occurred at a multi-fuel gas station in Ferghana during the transfer of liquefied gas. The cause of the tragedy was violations of technological processes and safety requirements.
Firefighters arrived at the scene within 4 minutes, contained the fire by 14:02, and completely extinguished it by 14:12. According to official reports, four people died in the explosion.
