Ferghana Region Leads Grain Production in Uzbekistan
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — According to preliminary data from the National Statistics Committee, from January to June 2025, all categories of farms in Uzbekistan produced a total of 6.1 million tonnes of cereals and legumes.
The largest production volume was recorded in Ferghana Region — 776.6 thousand tonnes. Surkhandarya Region ranked second with 691 thousand tonnes, followed by Kashkadarya Region with 635.5 thousand tonnes.
Significant outputs were also noted in Samarkand (549.5 thousand tonnes), Andijan (506.3 thousand tonnes), and Jizzakh (478.3 thousand tonnes) regions. In Bukhara Region, production amounted to 464.2 thousand tonnes, in Tashkent Region — 447 thousand tonnes, and in Khorezm — 431.7 thousand tonnes.
Namangan Region harvested 417.5 thousand tonnes, while Syrdarya recorded 394.2 thousand tonnes. The lowest volumes were observed in Navoiy Region (212.6 thousand tonnes) and the Republic of Karakalpakstan (137.6 thousand tonnes).
