Ferghana region becomes a leader in the use of mobile Internet in Uzbekistan

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Humans conducted a study of the activity of its users for 2021. The experts found out how much mobile traffic is consumed in different regions of Uzbekistan and analyzed who uses the Internet more - millennials or buzzers.

In 2021, Humans users in Uzbekistan spent 93.4 thousand terabytes of Internet traffic. In terms of subscriber activity, Ferghana region ranked first among the regions, followed by Tashkent and Andijan region. The residents of Navoi and Syrdarya regions used the least amount of traffic.

Most of all mobile traffic in Uzbekistan falls on millennials - users from 26 to 41 years old (44%). This is due to the fact that it is millennials that make up the bulk of Humans customers. If we talk about Internet activity in general, representatives of generation Z (under 25 years old) are in the lead here: although there are 6% fewer buzzers among the Humans audience than millennials, the amount of traffic used by them per year is only 4% lower.

It is interesting that among all users, on average, people aged 35 to 45 years of age consume the mobile Internet most actively every month. Tashkent is the most “youthful” city in this regard: it is the only region where the “zetas” spend on average more mobile traffic per month than representatives of other age groups.

If we talk about the distribution by region, the Zetas spent the most traffic in Tashkent (16%) and Ferghana regions (14%), and the least - in Navoi region (3%), millennials - in Ferghana region (16%), The second line of the rating is shared by Andijan region (13%) and Tashkent (13%).

“Last year, the number of residents of Uzbekistan who use our services exceeded one and a half million,” comments Anton Martynenko, director of big data analytics at Humans. — These are people from all regions of the country, of all ages, with different user habits. We see that mobile traffic volumes are growing, which means that we are giving people the products they really need.”
