Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — The National Agency for Perspective Projects of Uzbekistan has set the fees for issuing licenses to service providers in the crypto asset sector.
The relevant order was registered with the Ministry of Justice.
The fees are determined in basic estimated values (1 BEV as of October 1 is 375,000 soums) at the time of license issuance. The fees for various activities are as follows:
Mining pool — 3,000 BEVs (1.125 billion soums);
Crypto store — 3,700 BEVs (1.3875 billion soums);
Crypto depository — 7,000 BEVs (2.625 billion soums);
Crypto exchange — 73,400 BEVs (27.525 billion soums).
In August 2022, a regulation was approved regarding the licensing of crypto sector participants and the requirements for them. According to this regulation, a separate license is required for each of the four types of activities.
Service providers are also required to place their servers in Uzbekistan, store information about transactions and clients for 5 years, and comply with advertising requirements. For crypto exchanges, minimum requirements for authorized capital are established.
Since September 2022, monthly fees have been introduced for crypto sector players. The most recent changes to their amounts were made in June 2024, when the fee for crypto stores was increased to 185 BEVs (69.375 million soums), and for crypto exchanges, it was increased to 740 BEVs (277.5 million soums).
