Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — On 19 April, a fatal road accident occurred in the Karshi district of the Kashkadarya region, involving minors. This was reported by the Hudud program of the MY5 TV channel.
The accident took place in the "Kozikent" neighborhood, when a 2011-born teenager took his father’s Gentra car without permission. The car was carrying five people. Driving at high speed, the teenager lost control and crashed into a parked truck on the roadside.
As a result of the incident, two passengers, who were the driver’s friends, died on the spot. Two others sustained serious injuries, and one victim was in a moderate condition.
An investigation has been launched under part 3 of Article 266 of the Criminal Code (violating traffic safety rules or vehicle operation, leading to fatalities). The investigation is ongoing.
