Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) – Fans, who have purchased tickets to the competitions of the XXXII Summer Olympic Games in Tokyo, have the opportunity to return their funds if they cannot go to the Olympics in 2021. This decision was made by the organizing committee of the Games.

For the upcoming starts, over 4.4 million tickets have been sold through the official sales site.

The Japanese side officially advocates simplifying the format of the Olympic Games next year. It is planned that the Games will be organized on the basis of three basic principles - providing a safe environment, minimizing costs, as well as simplifying the format of the Olympics.

According to the Japanese organizing committee, the Olympics postponed to next year should become a symbol of global unity and rebirth after the pandemic.

For information, the Tokyo 2020 Olympics was supposed to be held from 24 July to 9 August 2020, but due to the coronavirus pandemic, the competition was postponed to 2021.
