Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) – In Tashkent region, an unknown assailant has killed a family of five and set their house on fire.
According to the General Prosecutor’s Office of Uzbekistan, the incident occurred on 26 July in Yangiyul district of Tashkent region.
The fire began around 06:19 in one of the private houses on Nurafshan Street.
After the fire was extinguished, the bodies of five individuals were found at the scene: a 33-year-old man, a 25-year-old woman, two boys aged three and two, and a six-year-old girl.
The bodies showed various injuries and signs of violent death.
Authorities have detained a 29-year-old man suspected of the murders.
According to the General Prosecutor’s Office, the detained individual is a relative of the head of the murdered family. Preliminary investigations suggest that the motive for the crime was a debt.
A criminal case has been initiated under Article 97 of the Criminal Code (Intentional Murder). Law enforcement agencies are continuing the investigation.
