Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- A Presidential resolution "On measures to strengthen social support for family members of servicemen and employees who died in the name of protecting the Motherland and the peaceful life of the people" was adopted.

According to the Decree, from 1 April 2023:

a one-time allowance paid to family members of a deceased serviceman (employee) is established in the amount of 150 times the amount of the official salary for the last position held and the salary for the military (special) rank of the deceased;

the sum insured payable in connection with the death of a serviceman (employee) within the framework of the state compulsory personal insurance of military personnel (employees) is set at 200 sizes of basic estimated value.

From 1 May 2023:

the survivor’s pension for each disabled family member is set at the rate of 50 percent of the monetary allowance (salary) accepted for calculating the pension;

family members (parents, spouse, children under the age of 23) are exempt from personal income tax on income in the amount of 3 times the minimum wage for each month in which these incomes are received;

are provided with housing on a priority basis if they are recognized as needing housing in accordance with the established procedure.

From 1 June 2023:

the upbringing of the children of fallen servicemen (employees) in pre-school educational institutions free of charge, training in professional and higher educational institutions - according to additional quotas on the basis of a state grant;

the parents of a deceased serviceman (employee) are granted the right to free use of railway and air passenger transport 2 times a year.

Until 1 December 2023, the following draft laws will be developed:

"About veterans";

"On the status and social protection of military personnel";

"On the provision of pensions for military personnel."
