Falling Walls Lab contest: Projects of IUT students are among the best
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Two students of Inha University in Tashkent (IUT) clinched the second and third places in the Falling Walls Lab contest, finals of which were held at the end of May.

The Falling Walls Lab is an international forum for the next generation of outstanding innovators and creative thinkers. Its aim is to promote exceptional ideas and to connect promising scientists and entrepreneurs from all fields on a global level. Participants get the opportunity to present their research work, business model, or initiative to peers, a high-caliber jury made up of experts from academia and business, and the general public - in 3 minutes each.

This year, Embassy of Germany in Tashkent organized the event in Uzbekistan for the second time. Inha University in Tashkent supported the project.

In the finals of the Falling Walls Lab, fourteen young people of Uzbekistan presented their innovative projects to the jury. They had three minutes to make an impression on the students.

IUT student Doston Mardiev claimed the second place for his project on preventing drowsy driving.

Another student from IUT Dilmurod Madrakhimov took the third place. He presented the project on monitoring agriculture system.

IUT Rector Sarvar Babakhodjaev said: “We are proud that we support this contest, which was organized by the Embassy of Germany. I am happy that six of our students took part in the final presentations. They did not win the top prize, but they presented interesting projects. I wish them to keep up their good work and present even better projects in the future”.
