Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) —  An explosion of a gas-air mixture occurred at an automobile gas filling compressor station (AGNKS) in Kashkadarya region.

According to the Ministry of Emergency Situations, the incident took place on 7 October at 3:45 PM in the “Dasht” neighborhood of the Karshi district. The station is located along the Guzar-Karshi highway.

The explosion occurred while refueling the gas tank of a KamAZ-512 truck, leading to a fire.

Firefighters arrived on the scene at 3:56 PM, localized the fire by 4:00 PM, and completely extinguished it by 4:45 PM.

The fire caused damage to the roof of the gas station, covering an area of 22 square meters. There were no injuries or fatalities reported.

Currently, efforts are underway to determine the cause of the incident and assess the material damage.
