Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 8 November on the eve of the meeting of the ministers of economy and trade of the countries of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS), the 13th meeting of the expert group was held in Samarkand in a hybrid format. 

It was attended by experts from the countries of the organization, who considered the current areas of trade and economic cooperation within the framework of the Organization, analyzed possible ways of its development, including taking into account the main issues on the agenda of the expected meeting of ministers.

In particular, the prospects for the establishment of the OTS Investment Fund, the adoption of measures to simplify trade procedures, the approval of Uzbekistan's initiative to establish a "Research Center for Trade Cooperation" and an "Engineering and Technology Center" within the Organization were considered.

Constructive proposals were made to intensify the processes of digitalization of the economy and expand e-commerce, develop and approve the mechanisms and principles for organizing the work of trading houses in the OTS countries and the plan of specific activities of the Turkic Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

As a result of the meeting, the experts developed clear and consistent mechanisms for the implementation of the considered initiatives and formed a communiqué for signing at the 11th meeting of the ministers of economy and trade of the OTS countries, which will be held on 9 November.
