Expected indicative price for grain in 2023 announced

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- According to the resolution of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan from 6 March 2020 "On measures for the widespread introduction of market principles in the production, purchase and sale of grain" and from 15 November 2021 “On the introduction of market principles that ensure free competition in the production and sale of grain”, the Ministry of Agriculture, in agreement with the Ministry of Economic Development and Poverty Reduction, the Ministry of Finance, the State Committee on Statistics and the Council of Farmers, Dekhkan Farms and Owners of Homestead Lands of Uzbekistan, announce the expected recommended indicative the price of next year's grain.

Based on the results of the analysis of purchase prices for grain in the world market and regional commodity exchanges, indicative prices for the upcoming grain harvest in 2023 were developed, taking into account local costs. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Agriculture of Uzbekistan.

The expected indicative price for grain in 2023 will be 3 million soums per 1 ton of crop. It is worth noting that, based on market prices, adjustments to the expected price are made quarterly and announced in the media.

This indicative price is advisory in nature, and grain producers and entities acquiring it independently determine purchase prices on the basis of a mutually beneficial agreement within the framework of contractual relations.
