Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) - In Tashkent, together with the Uzeltehsanoat Association and the Ministry of Economy and Industry of the Republic of Uzbekistan, an exhibition seminar was held on the topic “Actual Issues of Effective Use of Local Raw Materials in the Production of National Products” dedicated to “Cooperation Day”.
This event was organized in order to fulfill the instructions of Sh. Mirziyoyev voiced at a video conference on 17 September 2019 on the rapid development of industry, increasing its level and scale of localization.
Speaking at the opening of the seminar, Minister of Economy and Industry B. Khodjaev and chairman of the board of Uzeltekhsanoat M. Yunusov noted that under the leadership of the President of the country, an active investment policy is being pursued, liberalization of foreign trade and foreign exchange operations, leading in turn to the formation of a healthy competitive economic environment. It was also noted that the issue of developing the industry of Uzbekistan at the level of modern requirements, increasing competitiveness and expanding the range of products is becoming more and more one of the priority areas of state policy.
According to the Chairman of the Board of the Association "Uzeltehsanoat" M. Yunusov, today in the electrical industry of our country there are more than 400 enterprises. Over the past period, these enterprises produced more than 2,000 items of goods totaling 7 trillion. soums. It is gratifying that over 40% of the output is the result of the efforts of local companies.
At the exhibition seminar, about 30 enterprises that are members of the Uzeltehsanoat Association presented more than 200 imported raw materials and components. The possibilities of localizing the components necessary for the production of cables, electrical and household appliances were presented. Issues of local entrepreneurs regarding the production of these components and the possibility of concluding direct agreements between enterprises were considered.
In particular, on the basis of industrial cooperation, an agreement was reached on the supply of spare parts for enterprises such as Uzavtosanoat, Uzagrotehsanoathholding, Uzkimyosanoat, Uzbekneftegaz and Uzbekenergo.
The event was attended by over 500 participants, including representatives of the Ministry of Economy and Industry, the Chamber of Commerce, Tashkent City and Regional khokimiyats, departments and economic associations, and heads of free economic zones in the regions. business entities and local producers.
