Exhibition of Timur Rakhmetov opens in Tashkent

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 5 February 2025, the Tashkent House of Photography hosted the opening of a solo exhibition by the talented artist Timur Rakhmetov, titled "IMAGE." Guests of the event had the opportunity to explore the multifaceted work of the artist, distinguished by individuality and a unique artistic style.

Timur Rakhmetov’s works impress with their philosophical approach and quest for harmony. The artist skillfully works with drawing, form, and color, creating complex compositional and textural sequences. His pieces represent a unique dialogue between the external world and the inner world of a person—two inseparable elements that intertwine into a unified whole on his canvases.

Interestingly, when depicting characters, Rakhmetov does not aim for photographic precision. However, his heroes, easily recognizable by their silhouette or a characteristic detail, are incredibly expressive and memorable. The artist emphasizes the importance of deeply immersing in the environment, character, and profession of his models, stating that the exhibition is "... an exhibition of the images of our contemporary or mine."

The exhibition featured both early works of Rakhmetov as well as a new cycle of paintings. Visitors were able to see pieces addressing important themes: the fleeting nature of time, love, "blind religiosity," and changes in the surrounding world.

Each work became a revelation, the result of immense mental effort and a search for inspiration.

The exhibition "IMAGE" was an event that left no one indifferent, especially those striving to understand contemporary art and deeply reflect on the surrounding world.
