The topic of the exhibition, which united over 200 works of the masters, is a pomegranate – a symbol of the East, wisdom, wealth, and unity in diversity. The basic idea is that a pomegranate is a symbolic display of paradise.
According to the Rakhimovs, they had an idea to organize the exhibition a long time ago and based on impressions of the guests, it can be said that it was success. The exhibition was organized by Usto-Shogird ceramics school at the support of Fund Forum and “IJOD” Association of artists, art critics and craftsmen of Uzbekistan.
The exhibition presented over 200 works, both series and separate works. Among the exhibits were ceramic vases, jugs and dishes, and others.
Akbar Rakhimov said: “We were planning to hold an exhibition connected with pomegranate for a long time. Masters, painters and miniaturists used it to reflect a paradise. And we decided to present this symbol in ceramics. The exhibition presented both famous and new works.”
