Bazar-Art is organized twice a year – in spring and autumn during the tourism season in Uzbekistan. It is organized by Fund Forum and "IJOD" Association of artists, art critics and craftsmen of Uzbekistan. The fair is directed at preserving rich cultural heritage of the country, familiarizing public with national Uzbek art and support gifted masters, both famous and beginners.
Bazar-Art collected the best masters and craftsmen from various regions of Uzbekistan, which resented dishes, clothes, footwear, carpets and souvenirs, etc.
Stylish jackets, waistcoat, hats, bags, jewelry and other products in national style attracted interest of Tashkent fashionable women. Masters, who are selling their products at the fair, also are ready to brief visitors about methods and techniques on production of their goods.
Currently, Tashkent is hosting FIDE Grand-Prix and the Uzbek masters also presented large number of chess tables, including those with figures, wearing Uzbek traditional clothes.
The master classes on embroidery, ceramics, woodcarving are held within the framework of Bazar-Art. These classes are conducted my local masters.
The exhibition-fair Bazar-Art will continue its work till 26 November and it will be completed with closing ceremony. Author of the project Gulnara Karimova will hand over grants to craftsmen and award laureates.
