Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Chinese premium cars brand EXEED is planning to expand SKD production of cars several times in Uzbekistan, a representative of the company told UzDaily during a video conference meeting.

Lawson Han, country director of EXEED, said that EXEED plans to produce 5,000 cars in Uzbekistan in 2023. He added that the production plan for 2024 is 20,000 cars.

EXEED launched SKD production of its three models – LX, VX and TXL in Syrdarya region of Uzbekistan in May 2023. The plant will produce up to 20,000 cars a year on SKD production mode.

Representative of EXEED noted that the VX and the TSL models could be the best moderls, which represent the brand image. He believes that the company sell around 80,000 for the two models.

He added that the brand is planning to launch production of new model RX in Uzbekistan in 2024. He underlined that RX model was highly welcomed in the Russian market. “I think this model maybe can sell us around maybe 3000 or 4000,” Han said. 

Later, the car producer plans to sell EV cars in Uzbekistan. EXEED plans to present the EV cars in Uzbek market in autumn 2024.

Mr Han believes that EXEED can occupy the market share of Hyundai, one of the main competitors of the Chinese carmaker, in Uzbekistan. He noted that Hyundai’s cars sales in Uzbekistan is shrinking.

Lawson Han noted that currently EXEED and its local partner, Asaka Motors International, opened three sales offices in Uzbekistan – two in Tashkent and one in Urgench. He added that the brand plans to launch 10 more showrooms in Uzbekistan in 2023. The showrooms also have service centers, which will provide post-sales services to the cars.

Speaking about financial incentives, Lawson Han said that EXEED offers car loans to its customers. The brand launched cooperation with MK Bank, which started to offer loans to buy EXEED cars. The brand also cooperates with Turon Bank and Asia Alliance Bank. The discussion with the fourth bank is underway, he added.

Lawson Han said that the brand compared the financial tools, offered by other brands, and the loan policy of EXEED is currently competitive. The customers can learn about the offered financial tools on the website of EXEED in Uzbekistan (www.exeed.uz).
