EXEED automobile plant opened in Syrdarya

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Today, on 19 May 2023, a solemn opening ceremony of the EXEED automobile plant was held in the city of Syrdarya. President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev, who is on an official visit to China, announced the opening of the plant via video conference.

The opening of the new plant has become an important event in the development of economic relations between the countries, which implements a new stage of the "One Belt, One Road" strategy aimed at strengthening economic ties between China and the countries of Central Asia; will help in the modernization of the automotive industry in Uzbekistan.

“In accordance with the tasks set by the head of state for the development of the automotive industry in Uzbekistan, a new plant for assembling EXEED premium cars was launched. This is a big project that is of great importance for the economic and social development of our country. The new plant will use modern technologies and progressive production methods, which will make it possible to produce high-quality and competitive products,” said Akramjon Tukhtabaev, General Director of Asaka Motors, in his speech.

The opening of the plant will help create new jobs, which will increase employment in the region, as well as attract investment in the local economy and contribute to its development. 

The plant plans to produce three EXEED models - the LX compact crossover, the TXL mid-size crossover and the VX full-size SUV. 

This project involves the production of up to 20,000 vehicles per year at the stage of assembly from components (SKD) and up to 150,000 vehicles per year at the stage of complete production cycle (CKD).

Asaka Motors is the manufacturer of the EXEED brand in Uzbekistan. The corresponding agreement was signed in January 2023.
