The event was organized by the Embassy of Azerbaijan in Uzbekistan and Mirabad Academic Lyceum under the TIRTE.

The event included exposition dedicated to Azerbaijan and exhibition of the books of Nizami Gyandjevi and Alisher Navoi in Azerbaijan and Uzbek languages.

Opening the event, pro-rector of the TIRTE Batir Zakirov said that it is necessary to organize such events to familiarize Uzbek students and pupils with culture and history of Azerbaijan.

Chargé d'Affaires ad interim of Azerbaijan to Uzbekistan Akif Aliev briefed the participants on role and place of Nizami and Navoi in the world.

The event included various presentations and demonstration of film about Nizami, which was shot in 1982.
