The committee said Europe accounted 60.1% (59.6% in 2008) of total foreign trade turnover of Uzbekistan and share of Asia comprised 37.6% (37.1% in 2008).
Foreign trade turnover of Uzbekistan with America continent decreased from 3.1% in January-June 2008 to 2% in the same period of 2009.
Share of Africa and Australia and Oceania was 0.2% and 0.1% respectively.
Uzbekistan’s foreign trade turnover reached US$10.497 billion in January-June 2009 or grew by 5% year-on-year.
The country exported products and services for US$6.034 billion soums in the reporting period and imports comprised US$4.462 billion soums.
Current account balance surplus made up US$1.571 billion in the first six months of 2009, including US$115.9 million with the CIS states and US$1.455 billion with foreign countries.
