Euro-2012: Germany advances to play-offs

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Germany became the first participant of the Euro-2012 play-offs after they beat the Netherlands with the score 2:1 in the Group B match.

Mario Gomez scored twice on 24 and 38 minutes of the match and now he has three goals in current European Championship.

Robin van Persie netted a long-range effort on 73 minutes to give the Netherlands hope for draw or win, but they failed to score again.

Germany clinched six points in two matches and qualified to next round of the tournament.
