The bank’s credit portfolio grew by 79% to 107.8 billion soums as of 1 October 2008. The assets of the bank comprised 249.6 billion soums in the reporting period.

The deposits’ volume demonstrated a substantial growth. The client base of the Kapitalbank has grown by 69% since the beginning of the year to 611,053.

The bank has continued to work within the frames of the programme on further expansion in the regions this year. In the first nine months of this year, about twelve new offices were opened in Tashkent, Ferghana, Nukus, and Termez. Currently, the network of offices and branches of the Kapitalbank includes 7 branches and 32 mini-banks.

The bank has installed over 400 terminals. The total number of issued plastic cards made up 18,207 units as of 1 October 2008. In nine months of 2008, Kapitalbank issued 6,182 additional plastic cards or three times more year-on-year.

Kapitalbank was founded on 7 April 2001. Its headquarters located in Tashkent city. In late 2004 and early 2005, Kapitalbank acquired Aviabank. Private individuals possess 15.7% shares in the bank. Express Leasing LLC hold 17.01% shares and Kapital Sugurta - 15.60%, Bauraum Group LLC - 15.56%, Optima Invest LLC - 10.05%, Markaz yog JSC - 8.06% and Intakom LLC - 6.73%.
