The conference approved the movement charter and program, as well as elected the members of the central council, which included representatives of all regions of the country.

The idea of creating the Ecological Movement was widely and thoroughly discussed at the meetings with participation of scientists, environmentalists, NGO activists and representatives of various spheres held in Karakalpakstan, Tashkent city and provinces.

Approving the slogan of the movement, “Healthy environment – healthy person”, the conference participants identified the main tasks the movement should focus on.

The main challenges of the movement are increasing the public participation in the environmental protection and improvement of the legislation in this area.

The priority tasks also include raising the environmental culture of the population, development of environmental education and training, expanding international cooperation in environmental protection and coordination of efforts of NGOs operating in the area of environmental protection.
