Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — During a session of the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis, a bill aimed at preventing the repeated prosecution of entrepreneurs for the same offense was discussed in its first reading.
The document proposes amendments and additions to the Administrative Responsibility Code and the Tax Code. The changes are designed to ensure the principle of single liability for a single violation and to improve tax administration mechanisms.
It was emphasized that these changes to tax legislation would be an important step in protecting entrepreneurs’ rights and improving the business environment in Uzbekistan.
According to lawmakers, the adoption of the bill will contribute to the liberalization of liability for tax violations, eliminate excessive bureaucracy, and reduce administrative barriers for entrepreneurs. This will also allow businesses to redirect saved working capital toward their development.
During the session, the draft law was supported and passed by the deputies in the first reading.
