Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- According to preliminary data, in January-June 2023, enterprises Uzbekistan produced industrial products worth 293.6 trillion soums, the index of physical volume of industrial production compared to the same period in 2022 amounted to 105.6%.

The index of the physical volume of industrial production is a relative indicator that characterizes the change in the mass of manufactured products (works, services) in the periods being compared

An analysis of the differentiation of industrial output per capita for January-June 2023 showed a significant excess of the national average (8 111.2 thousand soums) in Navoi region (44 721.1 thousand soums), Tashkent city (18 016.4 thousand soums) and Tashkent region (16 205.5 thousand soums).

In the structure of production, the largest share falls on manufacturing enterprises (84.0%), the volume of production of which amounted to 246.6 trillion soums.

In January-June 2023, the largest share in the total volume of industrial production in the republic was the city of Tashkent (18.3%), Tashkent (16.6%), Navoi (16.2%), Andijan (9.8%) and Fergana (5.1%) regions. Compared to the same period in 2022, the average indicators of industrial production in the republic increased due to the enterprises of Namangan (107.1%), Syrdarya (106.7%) and Kashkadarya (106.6%) regions.

The mining industry is a set of industries engaged in the exploration and extraction of minerals, as well as their primary processing and the production of semi-finished products. The volume of products produced by mining and quarrying enterprises in January-June 2023 amounted to 26.4 trillion soums, or 9.0% of the total industry

Manufacturing industry - this section includes the physical or chemical processing of materials, substances or components to produce new products, although the data cannot be used as the only universal criterion for a particular type of production. In January-June 2023, manufacturing enterprises produced goods worth 246.6 trillion soums, or 84.0% of the total industry.

In the structure of the manufacturing industry, the share of high-tech industries amounted to 1.3% (2.1% in January-June 2022), medium-tech – 23.7% (22.9%), medium-low-tech – 37.5% (37.6%) and low-tech – 37.5% (37.4%).

In the volume of the manufacturing industry, the share of enterprises for the production, repair, installation of machinery and equipment, the production of vehicles, trailers and semi-trailers, and other finished metal products amounted to 20.7% (the index of physical volume by January-June 2022 was 110.8%), metallurgical industry – 23.4% (volume index by January-June 2022 amounted to 103.2%), enterprises for the production of textiles, clothing, leather products – 18.0% (volume index by January-June 2022 amounted to 107.0%).In the volume of the manufacturing industry, the share of enterprises producing food, beverages and tobacco products amounted to 16.5% (the index of physical volume by January-June 2022 was 107.3%), enterprises producing chemical products, rubber and plastic products – 8.3% (the index of physical volume by January-June 2022 amounted to 100.6%).

In January-June 2023, 650.9 thousand tons of motor gasoline were produced in the republic (in comparison with the corresponding period of 2022, an increase of 15.7%), 278.1 thousand tons of cotton yarn (a decrease of 10.7%), 114.9 million liters of beer (an increase of 6.7%) and 549.0 thousand tons of flour from soft wheat and spelled (a decrease of 45.7%).

A truck is a vehicle designed for the carriage of goods in a body or on a cargo platform. In January-June 2023, large enterprises of the republic produced 1,097 trucks (by the corresponding period in 2022, the volume of production decreased by 49.4%).

Bus - a trackless mechanical motor vehicle, technically designed to carry 9 or more passengers and capable of maneuvering on the road. In January-June 2023, large enterprises of the republic produced 383 buses (by the corresponding period in 2022, the volume of production decreased by 20.7%).

Passenger car - a car designed to carry passengers and luggage with a capacity of 2 to 8 people. In the automotive industry of the country, in January-June 2023, 49 458 “Cobalt” cars were produced (growth rates increased by 0.1% compared to the same period in 2022), 2 056 “Nexia” T-250 cars (a decrease by 83.7 %), 37 084 “Gentra” (decrease 17.3%), 350 “Spark” (decrease 95.4%), 34 944 “Damas” (decrease 2.6%), 11 775 vehicles specialized passenger cars (growth by 19.4%), 15 071 – “Tracker” and 11 222 – “Onix”.

In January-June 2023, large enterprises of the republic produced 535.4 thousand pieces of pneumatic rubber tires for cars (by January-June 2022, the volume of production increased by 19.6%).

An automobile engine is an engine that converts any energy into mechanical energy necessary to set the car in motion. In January-June 2023, large enterprises of the republic produced 105.6 thousand pieces of car engines (a decrease of 9.2% compared to the corresponding period of 2022).

A battery is a reusable current source designed to accumulate and store energy. In January-June 2023, large enterprises in the engineering industry produced 558.7 thousand pieces of lead batteries for starting piston engines (an increase in production by 44.9% was recorded compared to the corresponding period of 2022).

A refrigerator is a device that maintains a low temperature in a heat-insulated chamber. Freezer - a separate device or component of the refrigerator, designed for freezing and storage. In January-June 2023, large enterprises of the republic produced 343.0 thousand pieces of refrigerators and freezers (an increase in production by 13.4% was recorded against the corresponding period of 2022).

The overhaul of technological equipment made it possible to increase the capacity utilization of chemical enterprises and exceed the production figures of the previous year for the production of disodium carbonate (96.1% by January-June 2022) and potassium chloride (113.5%).

The metallurgical industry is a branch of heavy industry that includes the processes of making metals from ores or other materials, as well as metal alloys. In January-June 2023, the share of the metallurgical industry in the structure of the manufacturing industry amounted to 23.4%, the physical volume index increased by 3.2%, while the volume of production amounted to 57 797.8 billion soums.

Other non-metallic mineral products include production types of mineralbased products. According to the results of January-June 2023, the share of other non-metallic mineral products in the structure of the manufacturing industry amounted to 4.7%, the index of physical volume of production increased by 9.4%, and the volume of production amounted to 11 542.9 billion soums.

Food production includes the processing of agricultural and forestry products, fishery products for food production, prepared animal feed, and the production of non-food convenience foods. In January-June 2023, the share of food products in the structure of the manufacturing industry amounted to 12.7%, the physical volume index – 106.4%, and the total production volume – 31 446.7 billion soums.

Beverage production - this includes the production of soft drinks and mineral waters, fermented alcoholic beverages, beer and wine, as well as the production of distilled alcoholic beverages. In January-June 2023, the share of beverage production in the structure of the manufacturing industry amounted to 3.2%, the physical volume index – 112.7%, and the volume of production reached 7 825.6 billion soums.

The manufacture of textiles includes the preparation and spinning of textile fibrous, textile woven and finished textile products, the finishing of textiles and clothing, and the production of finished textile products, excluding clothing. According to the results of January-June 2023, the share of textile production in the structure of the manufacturing industry amounted to 13.5%, the physical volume index increased by 5.4%, and the volume of production became 33 325.4 billion soums.

Clothing production includes garments in all materials, as well as all types of clothing and accessories. In January-June 2023, the share of clothing production in the structure of the manufacturing industry amounted to 4.0%, and the physical volume index – 111.8%, the production volume reached 9 960.9 billion soums.

Production of chemical products - this includes the processing of organic and inorganic raw materials, materials through chemical processes and the production of finished products. In January-June 2023, the share of chemical products in the structure of the manufacturing industry amounted to 6.5%, the index of physical volume of production decreased by 1.3%, and the volume of production amounted to 15 992.4 billion soums.

The production of coke and refined petroleum products is the processing of crude oil and coal into products ready for use. The main activity is oil refining, which consists of separating crude oil into components by cracking and distillation. According to the results of January-June 2023, the share of production of coke and refined products in the structure of the manufacturing industry amounted to 4.7%, the physical volume index increased by 42.1%, and the volume of production amounted to 11 586.6 billion soums.

The manufacture of rubber and plastic products includes the production of rubber and plastic products. However, this does not mean that all types of production and materials are included. In January-June 2023, the share of production of rubber and plastic products in the structure of the manufacturing industry amounted to 1.8%, the physical volume index – 109.9%, the volume of production – 4 509.4 billion soums.

Manufacture of electrical equipment - this includes the manufacture of products that generate and distribute the use of electrical energy. Also included is the production of electrical lighting, signaling equipment and household electrical appliances. In January-June 2023, the share of electrical equipment production in the structure of the manufacturing industry amounted to 3.2%, the index of physical volume of production – 150.4%, and the volume of production – 7 850.9 billion soums.

Manufacture of finished metal products, except for machinery and equipment - this includes the production of finished products from "pure metals - without impurities", usually stationary, in particular such as radio devices, transmitting devices, which include the production of alloys of these metals and more complex compounds exclusively for electrical, electronic or optical instruments. In January-June 2023, the share of production of finished metal products in the structure of the manufacturing industry amounted to 2.4%, the physical volume index – 105.4%, and the volume of production – 5 823.9 billion soums.

The manufacture of motor vehicles, trailers and semi-trailers includes the manufacture of motor vehicles for the transport of passengers or goods, as well as the manufacture of trailers and semi-trailers. In January-June 2023, the share of motor vehicle production in the structure of the manufacturing industry amounted to 12.5%, the physical volume index – 104.8%, the production volume reached 30 771.1 billion soums.

Electricity supply, gas supply, steam supply and air conditioning include activities related to the supply of electricity, natural gas, steam, hot water supply through permanent networks - cables, pipes and water pipes. The volume of products produced by electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning enterprises in the period under review amounted to 19.2 trillion soums (6.5% of the total industry).

Compared to the same period in 2022, in January-June 2023, electricity production amounted to 104.3%, heat energy - 92.6%

Water supply, sewerage, waste collection and disposal include the treatment (collection, processing and destruction) of various types of waste, solid and liquid, industrial and domestic, as well as contaminated. The volume of products produced by water supply, sewerage, waste collection and disposal enterprises in January-June 2023 amounted to 1.4 trillion soums (0.5% of the total industry).

Compared to the corresponding period of 2022, in January- June 2023, there was an increase in the production of textile waste by 13.4%, services for the disposal, transportation of wastewater and their treatment - by 0.2%, and services for emptying, cleaning and treatment of cesspools, septic tanks and septic tanks decreased by 20.5%

As a result of the measures taken to expand the assortment and stimulate the production of finished products, the production of consumer goods in January-June 2023 amounted to 84.8 trillion soums and, compared with the corresponding period of 2022, the growth rate reached 107.0%, the share in the total volume of industry amounted to 28.9%.

In January-June 2023, food products worth 33.6 trillion soums were produced in the republic, the growth rate increased by 5.5% compared to the corresponding period of the previous year. Compared to the same period in 2022, the average republican production of consumer goods was exceeded by the enterprises of Jizzakh (187.7%), Tashkent (112.3%) and Syrdarya (112.1%) regions.

In the structure of production of consumer goods, the share of food products was 39.6%, non-food - 60.4%. In January-June 2022, the share of food products in the total volume of consumer goods amounted to 40.6%, non-food – 59.4%. At the same time, the growth rate of food products by the corresponding period of 2022 amounted to 105.5%, non-food products – 107.7%.

Consumer goods are industrial products used primarily for personal consumption or for other non-profit purposes. In the structure of the production of consumer goods of the republic in January- June 2023, the largest share falls on the Andijan region (24.3% of the total volume of consumer goods), the city of Tashkent (18.8%), Tashkent (14.8%) and Khorezm (6.8%) regions.

The production of consumer goods per capita in January-June 2023 in the republic amounted to 2 341.9 thousand soums, including in Andijan region – 6 181.9 thousand soums, Tashkent city – 5 360.1 thousand soums, Tashkent region – 4 165.5 thousand soums, Jizzakh region – 3 773.4 thousand soums.

In the structure of production of non-food products of the republic in January-June 2023, the largest share falls on Andijan region (37.7% of the total volume of non-food products), the city of Tashkent (12.6%), as well as Tashkent region (11.0%) and Jizzakh (9.9%) regions.

In the structure of food production of the republic in January-June 2023, the largest share falls on the city of Tashkent (28.4% of the total volume of food products), Tashkent (20.5%) and Khorezm (7.9%) regions.

In January-June 2023, small businesses produced products worth 76.4 trillion soums, the share of which in the total production amounted to 26.0%. For the period from January to June 2022, the share of small businesses in total production amounted to 23.2%.

The development of industrial production in the republic was also facilitated by the implementation of the Localization Program for the production of finished products, components and materials, under which 1 798 projects produced products worth 36.4 trillion soums, exported localized products worth 381.9 million US dollars, created 6 916 new jobs.
