Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- According to preliminary data, in January-April 2024, enterprises of Uzbekistan produced industrial products worth 227.8 trillion soums, the index of physical volume of industrial production compared to the same period in 2023 amounted to 109.8%, the Statistics Agency said in a report.

Today, there are 64.4 thousand industrial enterprises in the republic, of which 11.3 thousand (17.6% of the total number of operating enterprises) are in Tashkent, 6.7 thousand (10.5%) in Fergana, 6.8 thousand (10.6%) - Tashkent region, 6.8 thousand (8.5%) - Samarkand region and 5.5 thousand (8.2%) - Andijan region.

An analysis of the differentiation of industrial output per capita for January-April 2024 showed a significant excess of the republican average (6.17 million soums) for Navoi region (36.89 million soums), Tashkent city (14.02 million soums) and Tashkent region (11.45 million soums)

In the structure of production, the largest share falls on manufacturing enterprises (80.8%), the production volume of which amounted to 227.8 trillion soums.

In January-April 2024, the largest share in the total industrial production in the republic was Tashkent (18.8%), Tashkent (15.4%), Navoi (17.5%), Andijan (10.4%), Samarkand (5.0%), Fergana (5.0%) regions.

Compared to the same period in 2023, average industrial production indicators in the republic increased thanks to enterprises in Andijan (+31.8%), Jizzakh (+13.0%), Tashkent (+12.8%) and Navoi (+11 .9%) region.

The volume of products produced by mining and quarrying enterprises in January-April 2024 made up 21.6 trillion soums, or 9.5% of the total industry volume.

Manufacturing enterprises produced products worth 184.0 trillion soums in January-April 2024, or 80.8% of the total industrial volume.

In the structure of the manufacturing industry, the share of high-tech industries was 1.4% (2.1% for January-April 2023), medium-high technology - 23.6% (21.7%), medium-low technology - 38.2% ( 35.8%) and low-tech – 36.8% (40.5%).

In the volume of the manufacturing industry, the share of enterprises for the production, repair, installation of machinery and equipment, production of motor vehicles, trailers and semi-trailers, and other finished metal products amounted to 21.5% (the physical volume index by January-April 2023 was 122.5%) , metallurgical industry - 24.9% (physical volume index by January-April 2023 was 107.0%), enterprises producing textiles, clothing, leather products - 17.7% (physical volume index by January-April 2023 amounted to 107.1%).

In the volume of the manufacturing industry, the share of enterprises producing food, beverages and tobacco products was 15.8% (physical volume index by January-April 2023 was 104.8%), enterprises producing chemical products, rubber and plastic products - 7 .4% (physical volume index by January-April 2023 was 107.2%)

In January-April 2024, the republic produced 464.0 thousand tons of motor gasoline (compared to the corresponding period in 2023, a decrease of 8.1%), 208.7 thousand tons of cotton yarn (an increase of 10.6%), 53,968.7 thousand liters of beer (an increase of 5.5%) and 329.0 thousand tons of soft wheat and spelled flour (a decrease of 16.6%).

In January-April 2024, large enterprises of the republic produced 1,013.0 trucks (by the corresponding period in 2023, production volume increased by 33.8%).

In January-April 2024, large enterprises of the republic produced 228 buses (by the corresponding period in 2023, production volume decreased by 11.3%).

In the country’s automotive industry, in January-April 2024, 41,704 Cobalt cars were produced (the growth rate compared to the same period in 2023 increased by 50.3%), 3,492 Chery cars (an increase of 2.2 rubles) , 6,151 – “KIA” (increase by 39.6%), 10,954 – “Gentra” (decrease by 47.0%), 23,244 – “Damas” (increase by 22.0%), 7,671 passenger cars specialized (an increase of 6.6%), 171 77 – “Tracker” (an increase of 4.7 rubles), 11 580 – “Onix” (an increase of 3.7 rubles), 73 – “Exeed” and 230 – "Haval".

In January-April 2024, large enterprises of the republic produced 86.6 thousand units. automobile engines (an increase of 39.6% compared to the corresponding period in 2023).

In January-April 2024, large enterprises in the engineering industry produced 303.0 thousand units. lead batteries for starting piston engines (by the corresponding period in 2023, a decrease in production of 24.6% was recorded).

In January-April 2024, large enterprises of the republic produced 136.9 thousand units of refrigerators and freezers (by the corresponding period of 2023, a decrease in production of 22.0% was recorded).

Carrying out capital restoration work on process equipment made it possible to increase the capacity utilization of chemical enterprises and exceed the previous year’s production figures for the production of disodium carbonate (106.4% compared to January-April 2023).

In January-April 2024, the share of the metallurgical industry in the structure of the manufacturing industry was 24.9%, the physical volume index increased by 7.0%, and the production volume amounted to 45,891.1 billion soums.

At the end of January-April 2024, the share of other non-metallic mineral products in the structure of the manufacturing industry was 4.4%, the index of physical production volume increased by 14.4%, and the production volume amounted to 8.18 trillion soums.

In January-April 2024, the share of food products in the structure of the manufacturing industry was 12.2%, the physical volume index was 98.4%, and the total production volume was 22.4 trillion soums.

In January-April 2024, the share of beverage production in the structure of the manufacturing industry was 3.0%, the physical volume index was 121.4%, and the production volume reached 5.49 trillion soums.

At the end of January-April 2024, the share of textile production in the structure of the manufacturing industry was 13.4%, the physical volume index increased by 9.1%, and the production volume became equal to 24,639.6 billion soums.

Compared to the same period in 2023, in January-April 2024, electricity production amounted to 107.2%, heat energy – 99.8%.

The volume of products produced by water supply, sewerage, waste collection and disposal enterprises in January-April 2024 amounted to 1.4 trillion soums (0.6% of the total industry volume).

Compared to the corresponding period in 2023, in January-April 2024 there was a decrease in the production of textile waste by 11.9%, an increase in services for the removal, transportation of wastewater and its treatment - by 1.7 rubles, services for emptying, purification and treatment of cesspools, settling tanks and septic tanks - by 1.3%.

In January-April 2024, small businesses produced products worth 53.3 trillion soums, the share of which in total production amounted to 23.4%. For the period from January to April 2023, the share of small businesses in total production amounted to 26.5%.
