Currently, coal and timber, as well as gas used to heat greenhouses in Uzbekistan. As there are 300 sunny days in Uzbekistan, it will be effective to use solar energy.

Within the project “Approbation and adaptation of energy efficient greenhouses in Uzbekistan”, it is planned to construct pilot greenhouses in seven regions of Uzbekistan, while a group of farmers will undergo special trainings.

The project will adopt measures on raising awareness of farmers on new technologies in all regions of Uzbekistan. The project will be implemented in two years.

The project will also develop manual on construction an use of energy efficient greenhouses in Uzbekistan.

Currently, works on construction of greenhouses in seven regions were started. Afterwards, it is planned to prepare soil and seeds. It is also planned to use various technologies on increasing yield of crop and attract agronomists. New energy efficient greenhouses will be launched soon.
