The event discussed development of gardening and beekeeping, as well as storage of agriculture products.
Within the event, the presentation of the project on creation of energy efficient greenhouses was held. Uzbekistan has over 300 sunny days a year. According to estimates of specialists, technical potential of solar energy exceeds need of Uzbekistan for energy four times. Introduction of solar energy into various sectors of Uzbekistan is actual issue, especially in agriculture sector.
Ulugbek Ahmedov, expert of UNDP project “Business Forum of Uzbekistan” (Phase 2), said that in low-efficient greenhouses with area of 0.1 hectares uses about 4-5 tonnes of coal in three months of winter period, which also negatively impacts health of farmers and environment.
He said that energy efficient greenhouses in seven regions of Uzbekistan, which will work on solar energy and decreases expenses for heating and cut prime cost, as well as improve environment.
