Embraer E195-E2 demonstrated flight performance in hot climate and mountainous terrain of Uzbekistan

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The Embraer E195-E2 made its debut in Uzbekistan with a two-day tour. The demonstration flights allowed government, media and airline representatives to experience the innovative design and operational efficiency of the E2 family of jet aircraft.

The demonstration highlighted the urgent need to improve the domestic and inter-regional route network in Uzbekistan, a country that is increasingly focusing on tourism development and improved infrastructure. Given the country’s challenging geography, marked by intense summer heat and mountainous terrain, the need for a versatile, reliable and efficient aircraft has never been more evident.

The demonstration flights were attended by representatives of the government of Uzbekistan, the Brazilian embassy, the media, as well as representatives of the local aviation community and airlines from the regions.

“The demonstration flights provided an excellent opportunity to demonstrate the operational efficiency, low maintenance costs and adaptability of our E2 family to challenging environments, making it an ideal choice for the Uzbekistan market,” said Michal Nowak, VP Sales & Marketing, Head of Region for Europe and Central Asia - Commercial Aviation at Embraer. “We are excited about the opportunities this market presents.”

The event was organized jointly with Uzbekistan Airports and Uzbekistan Airways.

“Embraer is a regional aircraft that has proven itself in the global aviation market. I am glad that the manufacturer is constantly working on new aircraft modifications, paying attention to important criteria, environmental friendliness, efficiency and noise level. Today we are witnessing a historic moment when the aviation sector of Uzbekistan is experiencing a real boom. Over the past year, several new domestic airlines have opened at once, new types of aircraft are emerging. This is a powerful impetus for the development of tourism, both internal and external. Against this background, this event is very important for us, when domestic air carriers can get acquainted with a new type of aircraft at one site, ask all questions of interest to the manufacturer, take part in test flights,” said Rano Juraeva, Chairman of the Board of Uzbekistan Airports.

“Adaptability, operational efficiency, reliability and the ability to expand the geography of flights are key factors for us in assessing the future development of the airline’s fort. We are grateful for the opportunity to evaluate in action all the capabilities of the Embraer E195-E2 on the territory of Uzbekistan, as well as for the opportunity to make an informed decision on considering the development of the aircraft fleet and the airline’s route network,” said Shukhrat Khudaikulov, Chairman of the Board of Uzbekistan Airways JSC.
