Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Tashkent region administration announced the allocation of two land plots for the Eltech Industrial technopark. The decision was signed by the regional head, Zoyir Mirzaev, on 16 December.
The technopark’s directorate will receive non-agricultural land plots in the Akhangaran and Alisher Navoi areas of the Akhangaran district. The total area of the plots will amount to 106 hectares.
The technopark is tasked with organizing the reorganization of engineering communications on the new plots at its own expense. It is also required to place orders for the development of architectural projects.
Eltech Industrial was established based on the Ohangaron Tech Industrial technopark according to a presidential decree in January. The complex is set to expand by 214 hectares to accommodate new projects in copper and rare earth metal processing, as well as electrical engineering production.
The same decree also imposed restrictions on the import of televisions, refrigerators, air conditioners, radiators, and other electrical appliances into Uzbekistan, while requiring manufacturers or official dealers to have authorized service centers.
The master plan for the technopark divides it into 19 plots, 15 of which have already been sold through an online auction. Construction work is underway on three plots, and preparations are ongoing for the others.
