“Electronic government” development center, SAP sign memorandum
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- SAP CIS, one of the leaders in corporate applications market, and “Electronic government” development center of Uzbekistan signed a memorandum in the area of supporting entrepreneurship.

In particular, the sides will cooperate in creation of national cloud infrastructure and IT platform for small and medium businesses of Uzbekistan based on SAP Business One solution.

Within the document, SAP CIS can supply its products and provide consultation for IT-specialists on work with cloud infrastructure on the base of SAP Business One, holding join events.

SAP CIS opened its office in Uzbekistan in September 2013 and currently has several clients in the country.

SAP Business One is business management software designed for small businesses, sold by the German company SAP SE. As an ERP solution, it aims to automate key business functions in financials, operations, and human resources.

The Government of Uzbekistan is working on formation of infrastructure for electronic government and support small businesses in the country. Sherzod Habibullaev, direct of the “Electronic government” development center, said that the Center has ambitious goal – to create necessary infrastructure for support electronic government in Uzbekistan, which will allow to lift interaction of the government, population and businesses to new level. Experience of leading experts of SAP and wide-range of solution will help up to realize these tasks.

Andrey Lyskov, managing director of SAP for five CIS states (Azerbaijan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan), said that over 20 projects in sphere of electronic government were realized in Uzbekistan and creation of national cloud platform will help to make this process more dynamic and wide-scale.

Laziz Adhamov, director of SAP Office in Uzbekistan, said that SAP considers small and medium businesses as important auditory. He said that over 80% of SAM clients belong to this group. He noted that global experience of SAP, best world practices and technologies will be available for developing commercial sector of Uzbekistan and state structures, which implement wide-scale project on creation of electronic government.

Uzbekistan pays great attention to development of small businesses. Share of small businesses grew from 41% to 41.7% in the first quarter of 2015 compared to the same period of 2014. Over 8,000 new small businesses were created in Uzbekistan in the first three months of 2015.
