Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) —  On 26 October 2024, a meeting took place at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan between Bobur Usmanov, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, and representatives of the International Observer Mission from the Inter-Parliamentary Assembly of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS).

During the meeting, the parties discussed preparations for the upcoming elections of deputies to the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan, scheduled for October 27, 2024.

There was also an exchange of views on enhancing practical cooperation within the CIS framework, as well as the further development and strengthening of inter-parliamentary interaction among the member states of the Commonwealth.
