Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Eldor Shomurodov, the center forward of Italy’s AS Roma and the Uzbekistan national team, has attracted interest from several Saudi Pro League clubs.

According to Italian sports media, the player, who joined AS Roma in August 2021, could transfer to a new club during the upcoming transfer window.

As reported by La Gazzetta dello Sport, at least two clubs from the Saudi Pro League are expressing interest in the Uzbek striker. It is suggested that AS Roma is open to offers to streamline its squad and reduce financial burdens.

This season, Shomurodov has appeared in 12 matches across all competitions, scoring two goals and providing one assist. Despite limited playing time, the forward remains a sought-after asset in the market.

Experts from Corriere dello Sport highlight that Shomurodov possesses qualities well-suited to the attacking style of football prevalent in Saudi Arabia.

According to Football Italia, transfer talks could accelerate as early as January, fueled by the increasing interest of Saudi Pro League clubs in European players. Negotiations are currently focused on financial and contractual terms.
