Ekaterina Agandzhanova was born in 1981 in Tashkent. In 2002 she graduated from Tashkent State Economic University with a degree in "International Business", and in 2004 received a master’s degree in economics in this area.

She worked at Deloitte & Touche, International Business School “Kelajak Ilmi”, and Carlsberg Uzbekistan. She is married and has two sons.
