Egypt, Uzbekistan seek to boost cooperation in trade, energy sectors

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) --
Moving further East, Egypt is now working to boost cooperation with countries in central Asia atop of which Uzbekistan. Minister of International Cooperation Fayza Abul-Naga and Uzbekistan’s deputy Prime Minister Rustam Qosimov co-chaired the sixth joint committee meeting Wednesday, 6 May 2009.
Both sides agreed to double the volume of trade exchange and enhance cooperation in the energy sector.
Egypt will also be helping Uzbekistan build and manage industrial zones.
Cairo and Tashkent will moreover work together to support small and medium-sized projects in both countries.
