Participants studied situations related to human trafficking and illegal use of public funds. They also learnt their civil rights, envisaged in the Constitution and studied international agreements on human rights, including the Universal Human Rights Declaration.
Ulugbek Usmanov said the seminar is aimed at telling young people of their rights through this event, which was held at Pakistan administration and promoting introduction of educational programmes on human rights at educational establishments of Tashkent region.
Representatives of Education Ministry, Justice Minister, National Human Rights Center and Ombudsman from Tashkent region participated at the event. Usmanov said the officials supported the programme.
Currently, the US State Department is supporting to organize such educational programmes in nine district schools in Tashkent region. About 400 students will participate in seminars, which will cover history of human rights, political, social and economic rights, NGOs, etc.
