The CAEP is being established to increase cooperation between EU and Central Asia and to improve regional cooperation between CA countries in order to reinforce their education sector reforms.

Purpose of the meeting is to discuss educational system in Uzbekistan, as well as regional and national needs and priorities in education. CAEP mission to Uzbekistan is to conduct an assessment of the system in five countries of the region and to find ways to establish productive cooperation between the European Union (EU) and Central Asia (CA) in the field of education.

During the meeting CER presented its capacity and experience in conducting researches on issues of education, as well communication channels used to deliver research results for broader audience, including international expert community.
