Ecosan "health train" sent to Samarkand region
As a part of the marathon of ecological festivals titled "Independence, ecology and health of the population" held on the occasion of the 16th anniversary of Uzbekistan’s independence, and in anticipation of the celebration of Samarkand’s 2,750th anniversary, Ecosan International Organisation has send another train of health to Samarkand region, UzReport.com reported.
The train was sent in an official ceremony on 3 August. As noted at the ceremony, this is the tenth Ecosan train of health sent to the regions of Uzbekistan. Trains of health have already been sent to Karakalpakstan Republic, Bukhara, Jizzakh, Kashkadarya, Namangan, Navoi, Syrdarya, Surkhandarya, Ferghana and Samarkand regions. The total sum of humanitarian aid provided by Ecosan through the trains of health has totaled 516 million soums.
The humanitarian cargo includes clothing, footwear, bed sets, and hygiene products. Samarkand region will receive humanitarian aid worth over 30 million soums. The goods will be distributed among needy families, families who have lost the breadwinners, seniors, and people with disabilities. Medications will be distributed to medical facilities, orphanages, nurseries, and other social institutions.
