The event was organized within the events dedicated to the 20th anniversary of Uzbekistan and practical implementation of the State Programme “The Year of small business and private entrepreneurship”.

Representatives of political, economic and business circles of Germany, diplomatic corps and mass media participated at the event.

Participants were briefed on achievements of Uzbekistan during independence years, modern economic development of Uzbekistan, created conditions for foreign businesses, investment projects, State Programme “The Year of small business and private entrepreneurship”.

It was noted that Uzbekistan, being industrial center of Central Asia, possesses dynamically developing industry and growing consumer market. Uzbekistan carries out concrete measures on modernization and re-equipment of industries of economy, directed at high-technological export oriented products with attraction of foreign investments, new technologies and know-how.

During the event, participants were acquainted with the programme on priorities of industrial development of Uzbekistan for 2011-2015, which envisages implementation of 500 projects for US$50 billion soums.

German business circles were invested to participate in implementation of investment projects in Uzbekistan, including Navoi free industrial and economic zone, which offers customs, tax and other preferences.
