Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz ) -- Presidential Resolutions “On the approval of an international treaty” were adopted.

The resolutions approved the following agreements between the Governments of Uzbekistan and the State of Qatar:

- on mutual promotion and protection of investments;

- on the elimination of double taxation with respect to income taxes and on the prevention of tax evasion.

These Agreements were signed on 6 June 2023 in the city of Samarkand within the visit of Qatari Emir to Uzbekistan.

Accordingly, the Ministry of Investment, Industry and Foreign Trade, as well as the Tax Committee were appointed as the authorized bodies responsible for the implementation of international treaties. 

The Cabinet of Ministers and the heads of the relevant ministries and departments, after the entry into force of these international treaties, exercise control over the implementation of its provisions in accordance with the established procedure.
