The report said that the event was organized by diplomatic mission of Uzbekistan in Vienna. The briefing was dedicated to social-economic development of Uzbekistan and tasks of the state programme “The Year of Prosperity and Well-being”. Officials and public circles of Austria participated at the event.

The participants familiarized with modern life of Uzbekistan, priority direction of state policy in economy, conditions created for foreign investments, free industrial-economic zone Navoi and special investment zone Angren. The briefing also presented information on Uzbek model of development.

Josef Pühringer, governor of Upper Austria, highly rated achievements of Uzbekistan in independence ears. He said that Upper Austria is one of industrial centers of the country and is ready to strengthen cooperation with Uzbekistan. He said that there are untapped potential between two states and the sides should develop ties in renewable and alternative energy, machinery, pharmaceuticals and agriculture sectors.

At the end of the briefing, agreements on organization of cultural event “Days of Uzbekistan at Upper Austria” and meetings of business circles were reached.
