Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) has signed two loan agreements in Uzbekistan, according to Zsuzsanna Hargitai, Managing Director for SME Finance and Development at the EBRD, who shared the announcement on her LinkedIn page.

“Proud to announce two new loans signed in Uzbekistan through our risk-sharing agreement (RSF) with JSCB Hamkorbank,” she wrote.

Hargitai highlighted that the bank is providing a $1.1 million loan to Dolores Travel Group to expand its fleet of tourist vehicles. This financing also includes a grant tied to the achievement of key sustainability performance indicators (KPIs).

"We are also strengthening the agribusiness sector through a €200,000 grant for our partner company, BlueRibbon Ermak, under the EBRD Agrifood Nexus program funded by Germany. This grant complements an earlier €1.9 million RSF loan provided this year, supporting their investments in energy-efficient technologies for processing nuts, seeds, fruits, and dairy products," she added.
