EBRD launches online program to support micro, small and medium-sized enterprises during the coronavirus pandemic

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) launched the second module “Crisis Management: Fundamentals of Financial Management” of the EBRD’s free online training and advisory program “Find out how ... in times of crisis” to Support Micro Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (MSMEs) faced with the economic consequences of the coronavirus pandemic.

Financial management is the main part of business management and becomes most relevant in crisis situations. This module will provide companies with the necessary financial skills and knowledge and help them gain confidence.

This module also includes a selection of resources from global business leaders, designed specifically to help enterprises respond to the outbreak of the COVID-19 epidemic. In addition, tools from companies such as EY, PWC, Chartered Institute for Personnel and Personnel Development (CIPD) and Crown Agents are available in it.

Earlier, information was published on our website about the launch of the EBRD’s online program “Find out how ... in times of crisis”, which is a unified training resource where entrepreneurs can receive practical assistance, including getting acquainted with training materials and getting advice on working in conditions crisis from industry experts, and participate in professional discussion forums. The unified resource also contains country-specific information on financial support that can be obtained from the state and banks in 30 EBRD countries of operations.

The program launched by the EBRD as part of its efforts to support companies in the current crisis conditions has five main thematic sections:

1) Crisis management: your customers and suppliers

2) Crisis management: the basics of financial management

3) Crisis management: how to finance your company

4) Crisis management: your staff is your main asset

5) Crisis management: problems of leadership and leadership.

The first two modules are already available today. All resources are offered in English, Arabic, Russian, Turkish and Ukrainian with the addition of other languages in the near future.
