Earthquake registered in Tashkent region
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 12 March, an earthquake with a magnitude of 3.6 struck the Tashkent region, according to the Seismic Prognostic Monitoring Center of the Ministry of Emergency Situations.
The tremors were recorded at 06:16 local time, with the epicenter located in Tashkent district at a depth of 10 kilometers. The earthquake's epicenter was 19 kilometers northwest of Tashkent.
Seismic activity was felt across several districts of Tashkent and surrounding areas:
Tashkent district – 3 points (6 km)
Almazar district – 3 points (10 km)
Shaykhantakhur, Uchtepa, Chilanzar, Mirzo-Ulugbek, Yakkasaray districts – 2-3 points (15-18 km)
Mirabad, Yunusabad, Zangiata districts – 2 points (19-20 km)
Yashnabad, Sergeli districts – 2 points (22-23 km)
Bektemir, Yangikhayot, Kibrai districts – 2 points (26-27 km).
There have been no reports of casualties or structural damage.
