Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- A Government resolution “On additional measures to simplify the procedure for issuing a national driver’s license” was adopted.

According to the resolution, from 15 April 2023, the procedure for issuing national driver’s licenses will also be introduced through the Single Portal of Interactive Public Services (SPIPS) without the direct participation of applicants.

Wherein:

- information about the fingerprints of the applicants is placed on the national driver’s licenses, in the absence of information about the fingerprints of the applicants in the information systems, the applicants provide a sample of their electronic signature;

- applications for obtaining national driver’s licenses, as well as for replacing old-style driver’s licenses with new ones, can be submitted online through the applicants’ personal account at SPIPS daily within 24 hours, regardless of weekends and holidays;

- It will be possible to receive newly issued national driving licenses by mail.

Until the end of 2023, all existing driver’s licenses will be digitized with reference to the personal identification number of an individual.
