Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — A fatal traffic accident occurred in Almalyk, Tashkent region.

A 50-year-old pedestrian, who was crossing the road at an unauthorized location, died after being struck by a Nexia-3 vehicle.

According to the regional Department of Internal Affairs, the incident took place on 8 October at 00:05 on Amir Temur Street. The man was hit by a 19-year-old driver at an unregulated pedestrian crossing. Unfortunately, the victim succumbed to his injuries at the scene.

An investigation into the matter is currently underway.
