Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- During a meeting on 17 July, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev of Uzbekistan made decisions to discipline and dismiss dozens of district and city governors.
"We can talk a lot about our achievements. Despite challenging global conditions, we are achieving significant results in sustainable economic growth. This is recognized by the International Monetary Fund, World Bank, leaders of partner countries, rating agencies, and major investors," noted the president.
Shavkat Mirziyoyev expressed gratitude to various sectors, regions, and entrepreneurs for their contribution to this success.
At the same time, the President supported the proposal of Prime Minister Abdulla Aripov to dismiss governors of the Karauzyak, Takhiatash, Uchkuduk, Tashkent, Furkat, Gurle, Mirzaabad, Yangiaryk, Mingbulak districts, and the city of Gazgan due to systemic deficiencies in their work.
Additionally, 28 district and city governors received disciplinary measures.
