Documentary film “Pearl of Uzbekistan” presented in Moscow
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- A presentation of documentary film “Pearl of Uzbekistan” was held in the State Oriental Museum in Moscow, Russia.

Fund Forum said that the film speaks about the State Museum of Art of Karakalpakstan in Nukus and about Igor Savitskiy, who made huge contribution to development of this museum.

The presentation of the film was organized by the Fund Forum, Embassy of Uzbekistan in Russia and Mardjani Foundation. Over 50 specialists, experts and art critics participated the event.

The documentary film “Pearl of Uzbekistan” tells about history of the State Museum of Art of Karakalpakstan in Nukus named after Igor Savitskiy, its collections. Currently, the museum has over 90,000 works.

Each museum has their categories, which consists of 5. Nukus museum received the first category in 1991. This category is handed over to famous museums and with 300,000 visitors a year.
