Djeparov raring to go
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Former AFC Player of the Year Server Djeparov has vowed to prove himself at the continental stage when his side FC Seoul will meet Japan’s Nagoya Grampus on April 6.

Djeparov, who missed Seoul’s 3-0 victory over China’s Hangzhou Greentown last month, said that he has fully recovered from thigh injury and is raring to go.

“I got injured because of the tiredness of playing in the AFC Asian Cup. I have fully recovered now under the watchful eyes of FC Seoul doctors,” he said.

“I have played only three matches this season and I don’t think my performance has deteriorated.”

“As I have more time to play, I will prove my ability on the pitch,” he added.

Regarding his Uzbek national teammates Alexander Geynrikh (Suwon Bluewings) and Timur Kapadze (Incheon United) joining the K-League sides, Djeparov said: “I am happy to play with them here. I told them about K-League’s good points and recommended them to play here.”

“K-League is a very good competition and you always have to concentrate 100 per cent on the pitch.”

FC Seoul are leading the AFC Champions League Group F table with six points, followed by Hangzhou Greentown on three.
