Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Olympic judo champion Diyora Keldiyorova has been appointed as the Social Commissioner for Combating Gender Inequality and Violence Against Children at the National Social Protection Agency. This was announced on Instagram by the First Deputy Director of the Agency, Shakhnoza Mirziyoyeva.
Mirziyoyeva noted that Keldiyorova’s victory at the Paris Olympics served as an impetus for progressive changes in society. She also emphasized that this achievement demonstrated to the world that Uzbekistan is a country of equal opportunities and great potential.
Shakhnoza Mirziyoyeva, the youngest daughter of the President of Uzbekistan, highlighted that Diyora is an example of a modern Uzbek woman: kind, a loyal wife, a respectable bride, and an Olympic champion representing the country on the international stage.
According to her, Diyora Keldiyorova’s new role is aimed at inspiring all women in Uzbekistan to reach new heights in any field while upholding traditional family values.
Shakhnoza Mirziyoyeva also added that Diyora’s activities will contribute to accelerating gender equality in the country, strengthening Uzbekistan’s position on the international stage, and serving as a source of inspiration for women worldwide.
